VPS Group will take part in a panel discussion on bunker fuel testing standards at the Marine Insurance Greece event in Athens on 6-7 May 2026.
Steve Bee, marketing and strategic projects director at VPS, is due to join the session titled ‘Bad Bunkers – Are Bunker Tests Good Enough?’ on 6 May at The Eugenides Foundation.
Alongside Bee, the forum is set to include Simon Jackson of DAC Beachcroft, Gillian Stanton, FD&D claims director for Greece at North Standard, Alex Gullen, senior claims handler and adjuster in Oslo at Norwegian Hull Club, and Walter Dekkers, principal surveyor and consultant for fuel disputes at Van Ameyde Marine.
The discussion will focus on whether current bunker testing practices are sufficient to deal with fuel-related claims and disputes.
VPS is a marine fuels testing and inspection company headquartered in Rotterdam, with laboratory and office operations in major shipping centres worldwide.
The Marine Insurance Greece event serves as a forum for marine insurance professionals, shipowners, and service providers to discuss industry challenges and developments.
