Quadrise expects to start combustion boiler trial in early 2018


Fuel production phase of Saudi Arabia trial on track to commence in Q1, Quadrise says.

Quadrise Fuels International Plc (QFI) on Friday provided an update regarding its planned combustion boiler trial project in Saudi Arabia.

Installations for fuel production are said to be essentially complete, and a third-party engineering study for the boiler consumption phase delivered to a client in Saudi Arabia.

"Several parties" are involved in the combustion boiler trial project, according to QFI, but the trial is only due to commence once all agreements with the various participants are concluded, which QFI now anticipates to be early next year.

Commenting on the agreement situation, QFI said: "Progress continues to be made towards the finalisation of all the agreements (including a tri-party and various bilateral agreements between the key parties that define the key responsibilities and project deliverables)."

The fuel production phase of the combustion boiler trial is said to be on track to start during the first quarter of 2018, with associated bulk MSAR storage and shipping to the trial boiler to enable the combustion phase to be completed during the second half of 2018.
