Bunker Index launches website for the marine fuel industry

Bunkerindex.com announces launch of price index and information resource for the marine fuel and lubricants industry.

Bunker Index is pleased to announce the launch of its new website for the marine fuel and lubricants industry.

Bunkerindex.com is a global price index for over 80 ports worldwide with detailed price summaries and commentaries for each individual port. Regional price sections are also available, enabling users to compare prices for all the major grades of fuel in each region.

The website includes a comprehensive global directory with a full list of suppliers, traders and brokers of marine fuel and physical suppliers of marine lubricants in each country together with bunker and lubricant supplier directories for over 2000 ports worldwide. Each major port directory also incorporates port-specific news, bunker prices and market commentaries, whilst each regional and country directory is fully integrated with the regional and country-related news published on the site.

News and Events sections are also available on the website for users to keep up to date with latest developments, events and topical issues related to the marine fuels and lubricants industry.

Bunker Index is operated in the UK and led by Managing Director Carlos Núñez, who has 10 years of experience in the bunker industry having worked as Manager at Bunkerworld and as a marine fuels broker for Anderson Hughes - part of the P&O Maritime Services Group.

Speaking about the launch of Bunker Index, Núñez said "We are delighted with the progress we have made so far in being able to provide such a comprehensive amount of information to readers for the launch of the site. Our aim now is to continue to develop innovative solutions and provide high quality content for members of the bunker industry."
