Singapore fuel oil stocks at 5-month high

Inventory levels have skyrocketed 35 percent in just three weeks in Singapore.

Singapore's onshore stocks of residues rose for the third consecutive week to a five-month high during the seven days up to Wednesday, May 15, according to data released by International Enterprise (IE) Singapore - an agency operating under the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Stockpiles of residues, a category which includes fuel oil and low-sulphur waxy residue and excludes bitumen, increased by 2.6 million barrels, or 13.2 percent, to 22.3 million barrels.

It is the highest inventory level since the week ended December 5 and means that stocks have jumped 5.8 million barrels, or 35 percent, in just three weeks.

The 2.6-million-barrel increase is also the most significant since the week ended January 30, when stock levels skyrocketed 3 million barrels, or 17 percent, to 20.6 million barrels.

Please find below a table of Singapore's recent onshore stocks of residues up to Wednesday, May 15. The volume data provided is in millions of barrels.

Inventory levels are collated on a weekly basis for each 7-day period ending on a Wednesday.
