Light distillate stocks fall to 30-week low


Light distillate inventories drop to lowest level since October in Singapore.



Light distillate stocks fell for the second consecutive week during the seven days up to Wednesday 17th May.

Inventories of light distillates - a category which includes naphtha, gasoline and reformate - decreased by 623,000 barrels, or 6.1 percent, to 9.585 million barrels, down from 10.208 million barrels the previous week.

It is the first time that stock levels have fallen below 10 million barrels since the seven days ended February 1st 2012, when inventories plummeted 1.094 million barrels to 9.960 million barrels. It is also the lowest since 19th October.

The volume data provided below is in millions of barrels. Inventory levels are collated on a weekly basis for each 7-day period ending on a Wednesday.
