Liquid storage event to be held in South Africa


Conference will look at key topics related to bulk liquid storage.



IIR BV South Africa has announced that it will be hosting the 7th Annual Bulk Liquid Storage Tanks Conference at the Hyatt Regency, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Due to be held between 17 April 2012 -19 April 2012, the annual event is a means of bringing together all bulk liquid storage tank professionals under one roof to interact and share best practices and strategies for better tank integrity.

With a programme that will look at strategic, commercial, regulatory and technical topics, some of the issues to be covered at this conference include:

* Reviewing the standard frameworks of the regulatory body API and how to integrate them to ensure seamless tank management.

* Keeping track of the SANS 10108 and 10089 standards: an update on ensuring successful compliance with the standards.

* Obtaining operational excellence through adhering to environmental regulations and best practice standards.

* Identifying lightning protection strategies for bulk liquid storage tanks.

* Unpacking international best practices in the upgrade, maintenance and repair of ageing infrastructure.

* Standardising welding techniques for bulk liquid storage tanks.
