Fuel oil stocks rise to 18-week high


Inventories of fuel oil surge 8.7 percent in Singapore.



Singapore's onshore stocks of residues rose to their highest level for 18 weeks during the seven days up to Wednesday 1st February, according to data released by International Enterprise (IE) Singapore - an agency operating under the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Stockpiles of residues, a category which includes fuel oil and low-sulphur waxy residue and excludes bitumen, increased by 1.58 million barrels, or 8.71 percent, to 19.71 million barrels, up from 18.13 million barrels the previous week. It is Singapore's highest stock level since reaching 19.766 million barrels during the week ended Wednesday 28th September 2011.
