Highest rise in fuel oil stocks for 11 months


Inventories of fuel oil surge in Singapore.



Singapore's onshore stocks of residues surged the most in 11 months during the seven days up to Wednesday 25th January, according to data released by International Enterprise (IE) Singapore - an agency operating under the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Stockpiles of residues, a category which includes fuel oil and low-sulphur waxy residue and excludes bitumen, increased by 2.8 million barrels, or 18.26 percent, to 18.13 million barrels, up from 15.33 million barrels the previous week. It is the largest weekly rise in percentage terms since the week ended Wednesday 23rd February 2011.
