Grenfell joins Global Vision Bunkers


Experienced shipping professional to act as Baltic Exchange representative.

Global Vision Bunkers BV has announced that Martin Grenfell [pictured] has joined the group to work as its Baltic Exchange representative.

Grenfell has extensive experience in both chartering and marine fuels. He began his shipping career with General Steam Navigation Co. Ltd. in London, a subsidiary of the P&O Group. He then spent 35 years in dry cargo broking at the Baltic Exchange, working predominantly for William Shyvers and Co Ltd.

In 1994, he moved into the marine fuel industry working for UK trading firm North End Oil and then onto Cockett Marine Oil, where he was employed for 14 years.

"Martin by his own admission would probably constitute one of the old guard but definitely one of the bulwarks of the London shipping community and has the respect as such of the Baltic Exchange and the shipping community as a whole," Global Vision said in a statement.
