Two-day event concludes in Dubai


Region's bunker and lubricants players participate in maritime conference.



ShipTek 2011, a two-day international conference on shipping, marine and offshore industry concluded in Dubai on Tuesday 19th April. The conference was inaugurated by Mr. Khamis Juma Bu Amim, Chairman of Drydocks and Maritime World, CEO- Regional Clean Sea Organization (RECSO).

The conference was scheduled in five sessions with a total of 22 paper presenters who examined a number of topics. After the sessions, the delegates joined to test their wits at the third edition of the Maritime Corporate Quiz.

The 5th Marine BizTV International Maritime Awards paid homage to the organizations and individuals who have made waves in the industry. The ceremony was inaugurated by Mr. Abdulla Juma Al Sari, Chairman, FAL Group, Noboru Ueda, Chairman, Class NK, Björn Kjerfve, President, World Maritime University, Mr. Koh Chaik Ming, General Manager - Asia Pacific and Middle East (APME), Shell Marine Products and Mr. Sohan Roy S.K., CEO, Aries Group of Companies.
