Korean suppliers prepare for Malou


Bunker deliveries expected to be affected by Typhoon Malou tomorrow.

Bunker deliveries in a number of South Korean ports are expected to be affected by weather conditions tomorrow as Typhoon Malou is forecast to hit the south of the country on Tuesday morning.

The Korea Meteorological Administration today issued a typhoon warning for Jeju and surrounding seas as Malou approached the island this morning. The typhoon was due to reach Jeju at approximately 3 p.m. local time today.

Meanwhile, a heavy rain watch has been issued for Ulsan with Malou expected to reach landfall in the south of the mainland tomorrow.

Bunker suppliers are on standby and expect their ability to carry out deliveries to be restricted on Tuesday and Wednesday at the ports of Ulsan and Busan, with barge delivery schedules expected to be delayed as a result of the tropical storm.
