St. Petersburg: 380-cst quotes below $300/mt


Suppliers quoting sub-$300 per tonne levels as prices tumble at leading Russian port.



Bunker suppliers at the Russian port of St. Petersburg have been quoting 380-centistoke (cst) at below $300 per tonne levels today, according to Bunker Index price data.

Local players were today quoting price levels of $299.00 - $303.00 per tonne for St. Petersburg's largest selling marine fuel grade as prices continued to tumble in the region.

It is the first time since October 9th 2009 that levels of $300 per tonne have been quoted for 380-cst. Before today, 380-cst prices had not broken through the $300 per tonne barrier since September 7th 2009, when levels plummeted to $280 per tonne.
