Bunker cargoes head for Sri Lanka


Fuel oil parcels expected to arrive in Sri Lanka early next week.

Two fuel oil cargoes are scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka next week, according to local sources.

The marine fuel replenishment cargoes are both expected to arrive at the port of Colombo between 7-8 June.

According to a local broking source, Lanka IOC - the Sri Lanka unit of Indian Oil Corporation - is awaiting a bunker cargo of both 380-centistoke (cst) and 180-cst totalling 7,000 tonnes. The product breakdown is estimated to be 5,000 tonnes of 380-cst and 2,000 tonnes of 180-cst.

Local supplier Lanka Maritime is said to be expecting a 7,000-tonne cargo, comprising 4,000 tonnes of 380-cst, 1,500 tonnes of 180-cst and 1,500 tonnes of marine gas oil (MGO).

Meanwhile, Lanka Marine is reported to have received its latest cargo for the marine fuels market on Tuesday. According to local estimates the supplier received approximately 7,000 tonnes of 380-cst, 2,500 tonnes of 180-cst and 2,000 tonnes of MGO.
