New supplier at the port of Tuapse


Russian firm launches bunker supply activities at Black Sea port, aiming to become Tuapse's leading supplier.

Russian firm GazpromNeft Marine Bunker LLC. has announced that it has begun supplying marine fuel to customers at the Black Sea port of Tuapse.

Speaking to Bunker Index, the bunker supplier said that it carried out its first delivery at Tuapse on December 24th using its own barge the Gazpromneft West.

GazpromNeft said that it is currently able to supply 380-centistoke (cst), 180-cst, marine diesel oil (MDO) and marine gasoil (MGO).

The bunker delivery vessel has a total capacity of 2,400 metric tonnes and 12 separate storage tanks. Gazpromneft said that it normally stores between 2000-2100 metric tonnes of fuel oil and 300-400 metric tonnes of distillates.

Pumping rates for the Gazpromneft West are between 250 and 300 cubic metres per hour.

Commenting on the launch, GazpromNeft said that the company's objective was to establish itself as the principal supplier of marine fuels in the region.
