Bunker Index(BIX): 9.6% intra-month rise in October


October rise of $48.22 is the highest intra-month increase since May.



The Bunker Index (BIX) - the Average Global Bunker Price (AGBP) expressed in US$ per metric tonne - rose by $48.22, or 9.6 percent during the month of October.

The lowest BIX price in October was $501.05 on October 5th whilst the highest of $552.51 was reached on October 30th as bunker prices continued to soar during the course of the month.
