Glander International Bunkering merges with Scandinavian Bunkering


Operation in Norway changes its name to Glander International Bunkering (Norway) AS.



Bunker trading and brokering business, Glander International Bunkering, has announced that it has merged with Norwegian firm Scandinavian Bunkering AS.

Established in 1993, Scandinavian Bunkering AS operates worldwide with offices in Norway and Singapore. As of 26th September 2016, the company has changed its name to Glander International Bunkering (Norway) AS.

In a statement, Glander International Bunkering said the merger "will give way to a magnitude of new and improved resources on account of the union of two very strong entities".

"For the clients of both firms, an increased worldwide representation will promise increased access to business professionals, stronger purchasing power and improved internal administration services," the company added.

With an additional office in Norway, Glander International Bunkering now has two offices in Europe. The company's seven office locations are: Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, Florida, Brazil, Norway and Geneva,

The phone numbers of both the Norway and Singapore offices of Scandinavian Bunkering remain unchanged, but staff will now use the gibunkering.com email domain.

"The synergy between both firms will result in a more specialized pool of knowledge being made available to Glander International Bunkering clients. Scandinavian Bunkering AS have held a well-respected stance in the marketplace for many years which will provide ample opportunities for the teams of both firms to share best practices and in turn improve internal education and skillsetm," Glander International Bunkering said.

Commenting on the merger, Erik Rankin Vinde, Managing Director of Scandinavian Bunkering AS, who will be running operations at Glander International Bunkering (Norway) AS remarked: "Scandinavian Bunkering AS has enjoyed continued success throughout its 23 years in the industry and the merge with Glander International Bunkering represents exciting times ahead for the company. By merging we are initiating the best set up for the future and together we will be able to deliver a remarkably streamlined international service.
