'Super' lubricant launched for the marine industry

Multi-purpose synthetic lubricant is said to last 3-4 times longer than base oils.

Synco Chemical Corporation, a leading manufacturer of the Super Lube® line of high quality, multi-purpose synthetic lubricants and cleaners, has announced its Super Lube® Grease with SYNCOLON® for the marine industry.

This patented, multi-purpose synthetic lubricant features SYNCOLON® Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a solid lubricant which does not evaporate like base oils and is therefore said to last three to four times longer.

The particles in this proprietary ingredient effectively fill surface irregularities in mating parts and are compacted to form a smooth, lubricated surface. As a result, Synco Chemical says its Super Lube® Grease with SYNCOLON® offers many outstanding performance features for various marine applications from inboard and outboard motor lubrication to compressors, hydraulics, gears and stern/marine drive system lubrication.

In addition to being long lasting, Super Lube® Grease with SYNCOLON® offers to address the rigorous environmental conditions faced by marine vessels with its anti-friction, anti-wear, anti-rust, and anti-corrosion properties. Synco Chemical says the product is water- and salt-water resistant and able to resist temperatures of up to 650ºF. The product is also said to be environmentally safe and tested to meet industry standards.

For marine applications that depend on high reliability system performance, Super Lube® with SYNCOLON® serves to minimize downtime, reduce maintenance requirements and related costs, lengthen overhaul periods, and extend and optimize the life of marine systems and equipment.
