Merger of BMS Bunkers with United Bunkering and Trading


Asian bunker specialist and Greece-headquartered trading firm join forces to become BMS United Bunkers.



Greece-headquartered bunker trading firm BMS Bunkers and Asian bunker trading specialist United Bunkering and Trading (UBT) are merging their respective brands to form BMS United Bunkers.

In an emailed statement, Brilliant Maritime Services (Cyprus) Ltd., owner of the BMS Bunkers brand, said: "We are pleased to inform that as of June 1st, 2014, BMS Bunkers & United Bunkering & Trading is merging their brand to BMS United Bunkers.

"We consider this event a perfect match between BMS’ existing expertise in Americas, Europe, Africa and the Middle East while United Bunkering and Trading is a renowned Asia specialist company.

"It is very good news for our combined clients and suppliers all over the world as we can increase our volume with our existing suppliers and at the same time our clients can benefit from us being a larger group and increased market momentum."

As a merged firm, BMS United Bunkers Group will combine the offices of BMS Bunkers in Greece and Argentina with the offices of United Bunkering and Trading located in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia and Taiwan.

As a result of the merger, office address details, telephone and fax numbers remain the same, but the company's website address is www.bmsunited.com and emails also change to the bmsunited.com domain.
